La Bastide
From the very first time we saw La Bastide, we always planned
that whilst the farmhouse, grange and cottage must provide
quiet and self-contained accommodation when rented individually,
it should also be a perfect setting for ‘house-parties’.
Perfect for groups of family or friends getting together
for anniversaries and reunions; for groups sharing interests
such as rambling and bird watching; or just families who
holiday together.
If you wish Jos will cook dinner for your party, served
in the Grange or on the terrace, once or twice during your
stay.
Today thanks to Toulouse International Airport and its
Paris shuttle, La Bastide is easily accessible from anywhere
in the world
The farmhouse and grange can be linked together via the
farmhouse landing and the grange twin bedroom. (When let
separately, privacy is assured by double doors and sound
insulation.) The grange dining table extends to 12 and with
an additional table at one end seats 18 people, as does
the terrace dining table.
After a terrace dinner-party, debating the new wines you
have found at Gaillac vineyards and watching a kaleidoscope
sunset, take a stroll up our lane. Listen out for the owls
and other night life, look for glow-worms and up into the
clearest of night skies.
And marvel that you are just a ninety minute flight and
sixty minute drive from England…
